VEX Robotics: Preparation & Team Coaching

VEX is one of the world's largest robotics competitions. Teams design, build and drive robots for a new game each season.

How the season works

Each year brings a new game with a fresh challenge. Teams compete in qualifiers and tournaments in both driver-controlled and autonomous periods, and are also judged on their engineering process.

How BIAA coaches teams

  • Mechanical and drivetrain design.
  • Autonomous routines and sensor use.
  • Engineering notebooks and judge presentations.

Start with the Robotics Engineering program, or compare FIRST LEGO League.

Note: VEX Robotics Competition is run by the REC Foundation; BIAA independently coaches teams.
