Most students stall at Bronze not because they lack talent, but because they practice the wrong things. Here is a focused plan.
What Silver actually tests
Silver adds complete search, greedy, prefix sums, simple graph traversal (BFS/DFS) and binary search. Bronze is mostly careful implementation; Silver rewards choosing the right idea.
An 8-week plan
- Weeks 1–2: prefix sums & two pointers.
- Weeks 3–4: BFS/DFS and flood fill.
- Weeks 5–6: greedy and sorting-based problems.
- Weeks 7–8: binary search on the answer + timed mocks.
The mistakes that keep you in Bronze
- Grinding random problems with no topic focus.
- Never upsolving the problems you missed.
- Ignoring complexity until you TLE in-contest.
Train the topic, then train the clock.
